Residents love its rich quality of living that includes well-paying jobs, great parks and recreational activities, strong education systems, ethnically diverse foods, shops and people, and the ability to become involved in whatever it is that you’re passionate about.

The city offers many activities: outdoor concerts at Railside throughout the summer, the Nebraska State Fair, kayaking on the Platte River, and museums – such as the renowned Stuhr Museum of the Prairie Pioneer. Grand Island is the retail hub of central Nebraska offering lodging, dining, shopping, entertainment and service programs.
