Central City is located in Merrick County. It is a small but mighty community boasting parks, hiker-biker trails, and public and private education settings. The town also has a new aquatics center and a 520-seat performing arts theater with state-of-the-art acoustics.
Coming soon is Central Park: an 8-acre park that will offer activities such as pickle ball courts, skateboarding, fitness areas, picnic shelters, playgrounds, a seating area for community events and much more.
Merrick Medical Center
The new 51,307-square-foot Merrick Medical Center is a state-of-the-art critical access hospital located in Central City. The facility’s innovative design includes six licensed beds and six universal care rooms that enhance observation, surgery recovery and outpatient services.
Merrick Medical Center offers a new operating room to expand surgical procedures, including total joint replacements. Services also include lab, radiology, emergency care, as well as physical, occupational, cardiac and speech rehabilitation. Primary care physician clinics are located in Central City and Fullerton.
