General Summary:
This is an adjunct faculty position in the Graduate Nursing and Health Profession EdD program beginning May 2025. The faculty will teach a 3-credit Writing for Grants and Publications course in an online format during an 8-week summer session. The position involves course planning, orientation to college processes and systems, teaching and assessment of students, and evaluation of the course. Teaching involves three synchronous video class sessions, online interaction with students, and occasional meetings with students.
A graduate degree in nursing, an unencumbered RN license in Nebraska, an earned doctorate, and previous experience teaching online graduate courses are required. The candidate must have experience with writing grants and manuscripts for publication.
Adjunct Faculty appointments are made for specified courses and for a specified term or terms as needed.
The Adjunct Faculty of the College of Health Sciences demonstrates implementation of the mission, vision, goals and values of the College as well as the philosophy of the division in which he/she is assigned.
The Adjunct Faculty is responsible for development, planning, implementation and evaluation of the theoretical and clinical components of assigned courses. Demonstrates the ability to teach in individual, small and large group settings and functions under the direction of the Dean of the program. Participates in ongoing systematic evaluation activities as assigned.

10. Supports College committee decisions and offers input as appropriate in development of educational policies.
11. *Adapts teaching to varied delivery methods including distance-learning options is applicable.
12. *Initiates communication about concerns or problems with appropriate personnel.
Education and Experience:
Graduate Nurse Anesthesia Program: Certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) required. Masters degree in Nursing or related field of study required with Doctoral degree preferred. Previous teaching experience preferred.
Graduate Nursing Program: Masters degree in Nursing or related field of study required with Doctoral degree in Nursing or related field of study preferred for Masters-level courses. Doctorate in Nursing or related field of study required for Doctoral-level courses required. Previous teaching experience preferred.
