CardioVascular Inventory Specialist

Responsible for assisting the managers of OR, Endoscopy and Invasive Cardiology in inventory management.   Assists the department leaders in shaping and implementing inventory control including assistance in developing par levels for inventory and monitoring usage, determining the types of equipment needed, maintaining and assessing new technology, , interfacing with multiple disciplines within the hospital for inventory management, working with physicians to select/maintain appropriate inventories, assisting with information gathering for negotiations in vendor contracting, monitoring vendor contracts to ensure quotas are met, and managing government regulated tracking items.  Serves on organization wide value analysis team or similar teams. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Degree in either nursing, health sciences, nutrition or a related field required.
• Previous experience in inventory control preferred.
